CIVIL WAR ERA 1880's VICTORIAN SILK PARASOL UMBRELLA Mother Pearl Gold Handle
This is superb 19th century Victorian carriage parasol/umbrella. It is made in fine black silk, wood (possibly mahogany center) and has mater of pearl and gold tone ornate handle.There are RW initials on the mechanism. The mechanism of the umbrella is in working condition. The silk is damages from the age and it is very fragile.
It has some damages and rips - please refer to the pictures. I did not opened it to full extent. I don't want to damage the fabric any more.The umbrella is 39 tall when folded. This is really unique antique piece from Victorian era and it will has a special place in any collection. These charges are the buyers responsibility. We will open an unpaid case after four days.
