Vintage Chrome & Bakelite ART DECO UMBRELLA PLANTER Stand from a Movie Theatre
Circa 1930s, this is an original vintage ART DECO CHROME/BAKLEITE UMBRELLA & PLANTER STAND that once stood in a movie theatre in Arizona. Designed to hold umbrellas, canes etc in the lower section, with a decorative planter at the top. It stands 44 inches tall from the floor to the top of the planter pot. Its diameter is 13 inches. It is metal, and sports its original chrome finish. The planter pot has a decorative relief of flowers encircling the perimeter near the top. The depth of the planter portion is 9" inches by 9.50" inches.
This stand is in GREAT condition with the chrome bright and shiny without rust. All we can point out is small dent at the top rim of the planter (see detail photo). Also the original bolts that held the planter to the stand are rusted out. There are small screws holding it together now, which seems to be working fine, but one might want to enforce that with some new hardware before adding a plant. One photo shows a plastic palm tree in the planter. This is not included, but we wanted you to see how we had it displayed in our store. Please ask all questions before purchasing.
