19th C. Rolled Gold, Mother of Pearl Umbrella Handle 16 Magnifying Glass
Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period rolled gold umbrella or parasol handle with Mother-of-Pearl decoration that has been made into a fabulous magnifying glass. The handle dates from the late 1800's and has had a contemporary magnifying glass added.
The rolled gold handle is decorated with an ornately embossed design and has mother-of-pearl paneled inserts inset in a flowing pierced design. The end of the handle has a slight convex shape and has never had a monogram. The handle is marked just below the magnifying glass with unidentified stamp "A 1, K&H".
This nice magnifying glass is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only faint signs of normal wear commensurate with age. The glass is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. Measures 16" long with the magnifying glass section being 3 5/8" in diameter.
